New Haven County resident Luis Bonilla, age 31, of Ansonia, turned himself in to Stratford Police on Tuesday, Sept. 5 following a two-month investigation.
According to Lt. Robert Burroughs, of the Stratford Police, an adult woman filed a complaint with the department in July alleging she was sexually assaulted by Bonila for several years.
The woman accused Bonilla of sexually assaulting her since the age of 14 years old. After an investigation into the allegations, an arrest warrant was applied for and granted charging him with sexual assault and risk of injury to a child. Burroughs said.
Bonilla posted a $100,000 bond and was released.
